BC Šiauliai has signed a contract with LKL vice-champion Erikas Venskus, who last year represented the Utenos „Juventus“ team. This center has spent the last two years in the LKL, which is sponsored by Betsson, among the top four finalists. Erikas Venskus has a good shot and, especially when playing in the center position, can expand the game. He has already gained significant experience in Lithuania and fully understands the importance of games in both the local championship and the European Cup. In the recently completed season, the center spent an average of 23 minutes on the court per game and recorded 7.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 8.2 efficiency rating statistics. From 2017 to 2020, E. Venskus was part of the Kauno „Žalgiris“ system, rotating between the reserve team and the main team. Later, he moved to Panevėžio „Lietkabelis“, where he had the opportunity to debut in the European Cup tournament. After spending a season with the Prienai team, Venskus moved to play abroad and in his first year won three trophies - together with Leiden „ZZ Leiden“ he became the champion of the Dutch league, cup, and the overall Netherlands-Belgium championship. The basketball player from Biržai finished his legionnaire period in the Belgian league team Šarlerua „Spirou“. The team led by Darius Songaila will compete in one of the strongest Old Continent tournaments - the European Cup next season.
