BC Šiauliai suffered a defeat against Panevėžys Lietkabelis, losing 93-77 and thus missing the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) semifinals. This loss means that Šiauliai remains without a chance to compete for medals for the fourth consecutive year. The game took place in Panevėžys, where Lietkabelis won the quarterfinal series 2-0. The first quarter was very close, but Lietkabelis managed to pull ahead in the second quarter. Nikola Radičevičius and Kristianas Kullamae were key players for Lietkabelis, scoring 22 and 19 points respectively. BC Šiauliai tried to respond, but Cedricas Henderson and Danielis Baslykas could not keep up. In the match, Šiauliai had some advantages, but Lietkabelis quickly regained the initiative and built a double-digit lead. In the third quarter, Lietkabelis gained a significant advantage, and Šiauliai could not come back into the game. In this match, BC Šiauliai lost Marius Valinskas and Tre-Vaughn Minott, while Lietkabelis played without Danielius Lavrinovičius and Vytenis Lipkevičius. This defeat once again showed that BC Šiauliai needs to work hard to return to the LKL elite.
